Finally, a Quiet Day Just Made for Packing

Saturday, 13 July, 2019

As Wednesday's scheduled flight home to California looms ever nearer, the pressure to stop having so much fun in Lombardia and spend some serious time sorting and packing our clothes and souvenirs grows ever stronger.

Thus today was spent going over all of our Italian worldly possessions to decide what to give to charity, what to pack in our new plastic Leroy Merlin storage boxes for next year and what to take home to Camarillo.

These items will be waiting for
our return in January

My suitcase is only half full
at this point

That's a good thing as it leaves us a lot of space for souvenirs and gifts.

We've decided to leave about 75% of our clothing here was we have plenty of clothes at home and there is really no to shuffle many of our cold weather clothes back and forth again between American football seasons.

In the evening, we did go out for a good pizza at the Ristorante all Fontanelle in Verano Olona.

As we left the ristorante, we saw . . .

. . . this statue in their courtyard

Isn't an exact copy of the much bigger version of this Native American chief that looms over the western side of the 101 Freeway in Agoura?

A quiet day at home was actually a good thing.
