Another day in Paradise . . .

Life on Maui would be a good way to go

Our view from the condo at the start to
our morning 3.2 mile round trip
stroll to Starbucks

They wanted to join us but didn't
want to cross the road

What the hell is this?

Colorful Life Guard Station

I wonder if this van is for sale?

A subtle reminder that
it's Taco Tuesday

Early morning paddle boarders

Once at Starbucks, we joined up with three other couples who are friends of the Johnson's and shared several funny stories.

Talk about a good old school look

Is that a Dodgers Blue flag?

At midday we drove to Maui's Up-Country region to the quaint city of Makawao for some much needed shopping by the wives.

First stop in Makawao was the
famed Komoda Store Bakery

All of our blood-sugar levels were low and in serious need of boosting.

The sidewalk in front of Komoda's
was part of the Depression Era's
Works Progress Administration
building program

All I wanted in Makawao was a
peaceful cup of coffee sitting at that
nice yellow table in solitude

I almost pulled it off

Then this chicken jumped onto my right thigh and contentedly stood there and watched me sip my coffee for about five minutes.

As you may know, chickens roam the streets of Maui at all hours and in most places.

Michael says that this may be my Spirit Animal.

I'm not 100% sure what that means.

For dinner, we were back in Kihei where we all ate delicious tacos of course.

My two taco choices were outstanding, one of kalua pork and the other of calamari.

A beautiful sunset to close out a
marvelous Taco Tuesday in Maui

We got some solid legwork in
today while enjoying the scenery

Speedsters at the NFL Combine

Jacob's favorite Husky, Roger Rosengarten, had the fastest 40 yard dash time of all of the Offensive Linemen at the Combine.

Just dreaming of wonderful days gone by
