First and foremost, only . . .
. . . more days until the
Contreras Reunification
Venegono Superiore will never be the same.
As predicted, it was rain all day and night today.
In other words, we had a heavy dose of SKORPION WEATHER on the agenda.
Thus I opted to stay indoors all day safe in the knowledge that I would get my chance to get soaked at practice tonight.
With this decision came the usual Big Four . . . laundry, cooking, Skorpion related computer work and reading.
Our three 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Flag team practices were cancelled tonight in order to save a little wear and tear on Skorpion Field. We have a tough, important Group C game at home on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. against the physical defending Group Champion Busto Arsizio Blue Storms.
Obviously, our Senior squad could not afford the luxury of a day off regardless the conditions.
Skorpion Field was sloppy
The wet ball was hard to handle
I was very proud of the way our players and coaches handled the evening's practice.
The effort was good but, then again, how could it not be on . . .
. . . a BEAUTIFUL night
for American football!
BEAT THE BLUE STORMS!
