Another Video Day and a PHYSICAL Practice

Tuesday, 27 March, 2018

Although it was another sunny Spring day, I stayed indoors for most of it nursing a sore right hip and right knee.

The soreness was caused in small part by Monday's trek through Milano but probably more largely because, after all, I am 70 years old!

 The Villa Skorpion's garden
is really starting to bloom!

Since I was going to be a stay-at-home coach, I opted to spend a large amount of time watching our next opponent, the Sant'Agata Knights, on a YouTube video of FIDAF's Game-of-the-Week broadcast from a few weeks ago.

If you want to watch the Knights in action, go to

U15 Flag Team getting started

Part of our daily footwork drills

I'm extremely proud of how
much these young men have
improved on these drills

After our two hours of Flag practices, we had easily the most physical Senior team practice that we have had this year.

We ran the same running play at least ten times in a row. By the end, we were running it quite well at last.

When you are 70 years old, you tend to use Old School coaching techniques.

Imagine that, they worked!

Reading Is FUNdamental

Commissario Montalbano,
Sicily's favorite policeman
solved another one

I love these Montalbano books and the TV series that they spawned. So far I have read 13 of Camilleri's funny, interesting crime novels starring Montalbano.

Great fun, especially if you've lived in Sicily for a couple of American football seasons.

BEAT THE KNIGHTS!
