Yet Another American Football Weekend on TV

Saturday-Sunday, October 3-4, 2020

It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend for American football in Camarillo's Casa Contreras!

This photo posted on Facebook Saturday
by our old Swiss team the Thun Tigers
got me in the mood

The Tigers improved to 5-1 on the Coronavirus revamped 2020 season with a 35-6 victory at home against the Luzern Lions.

Wild tackle by even wilder haired Thun defender Michael Spring who I recall as an enthusiastic, hardworking Junior player back in 2012.

Michael Spring - Cornerback
170 centimenters - 70 kilos
Third season on the Tiger Senior team

I don't think he's had a single hair cut in the last eight years.

The PAC-12 finally announced their
2020 American football schedule
on Saturday

Here is what our Washington Huskies
will be up to in this shortened campaign

Laurie and I watched a ton of ACC, SEC and BIG-12 college football on TV on Saturday.

I kind of enjoyed watching traditional big boys Texas and Oklahoma both being upset just a few hours apart.

On Sunday, the Rams (2-1) were
at home against the Giants (0-3)

We had a Full House of family
bubbled Ram fans in the house!

Hugging Jacob is a
Rams pre-game ritual

Employing one of Mary's interesting
"Rally-Cap" rituals during a game
was a MUST as well . . .

. . . especially when the Rams struggled
throughout most of the afternoon

With 25% of the 2020 NFL season now in the books, here is how the NFC West stacks up:

Seattle Seahawks 4-0
Los Angeles Rams 3-1
Arizona Cardinals 2-2
San Francisco 49ers 2-2

The Dodgers will start the second round
of the 2020 MLB playoffs against the
San Diego Padres on Tuesday in
the Texas Rangers brand new
Globe Life Field in Arlington

Laurie and I have watched at least a part of every Dodgers game this season, why would we stop viewing now?

As in all things goofy in 2020, the two ALDS series will be played in California National League parks (Los Angeles and San Diego) while the two NLDS series will take place in Texas American League stadiums (Arlington and Houston).

Best of the internet from the weekend . . .

INDEED!

President Trump announced late
Friday night that he and his third wife
had both tested positive for the Coronavirus

Who could have ever foreseen this?

Karma?

Double Karma?

I wonder what this week will bring?
