Playing/Coaching American Football in Europe Seminar

I think that he could easily take out the Saugus H.S. Centurion. Don't you agree?

But I digress . . .

The Big Deal-of-the Day

Tonight was my last push to promote the concept of coaching or playing American football in Europe before I leave for Sweden.

I decided that I would try to reach out to football rich Ventura County by hosting a free Seminar in the Library at Rio Mesa H.S. to get the word out to people that might be interested in the experience.

Laurie helped me by giving her perspective on what is was like as a wife going through the Euro experience.

Alex Garfio, who played for us at Buena H.S. in 2001-02, was also a great source of information based on his playing experiences in last year's Spanish League as a running back for the Seville Linces.

About 20 interested people were present

The Seminar lasted for about two hours with a healthy exchange of questions and answers. I don't know if any of the assembled will land a job in Europe but I'm guessing that the EuroPlayers.com website will get a few new enrollees on Friday.
