Getting Back Into the Routine at Home

After the whirlwind that was our Boys Football Trip to the Carolinas the last four days, it was good to be home again.

Mary and Jacob did not have school on Monday and Tuesday was a sacred national holiday, so we got to sleep in which was a delight.

On Monday our Rio Mesa H.S.

retired teachers group gathered

for our monthly breakfast meeting

We had a good sized crowd this month and reveled to hear Dick Bellman's stories from his recent photographic safari in Kenya.

Interesting.

After breakfast, I headed up to Ventura to run a couple of errands and get in some steps.

Ventura's old downtown is so photogenic

It has not been the Hamilton Hotel

for many years now

Every city needs a good leather shop

In the evening, I went out for

another walk on a foggy night

Tuesday was a day to be thankful

for so many men and women who have

served our nation proudly

The CFP rankings led to the makeup of this week's projected 12-team playoff bracket.

Fittingly, after the loss to Wisconsin, the Huskies are nowhere in sight.

This puts Cal Lutheran in the

SCIAC championship game

The Kingsmen will take on the SCIAC's Surf Division Champion Chapman Panthers on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Orange, CA.

The winner will be the SCIAC's 2025 football champion and earn the loop's lone automatic bid into the NCAA DIII playoffs.
