Hard to believe, but our son Michael arrived into our lives a scant 48 years ago today!
A little rug rat as an infant
Precocious as a youth
What has he done more recently, you may ask.
Responsible as a father
Personable, he does have some
unusual acquaintances
Enjoying the Scripps Institute in La Jolla
Raising a family of Dodger fans
He loves dressing up on Halloween
Showing his son, Jacob, the UCLA campus
Making a food choice in Lugano, Switzerland
High in the Swiss Alps
Attending a UCLA basketball game
Sporting his vintage 1984 Los Angeles
Olympics worker's polo shirt
Ghastly in Milano, Italia
At the AC Milan game in Parma
At Sacro Monte in Varese, Italia
Supporting an up and coming college
referee with Ventura County roots
In the blue uniform playing an
1860s rules baseball in Bisbee, Arizona
Coaching against each other in
a Rio Mesa vs. Hueneme game
Another Halloween, another outfit
Family pride after a basketball game
Mother-son night at the old
roller rink in Ventura
I have some REALLY mixed
emotions about this one
Fun with Mary is a constant in his life
Graduation Day at Cal Lutheran
University with a Masters Degree
My how he and his family embrace
the entire Halloween concept
He likes to run Marathons
but without his son or pet dog
You had to be there . . .
He has served as a youth sports
coach for both Mary and Jacob
Then there was the time these two
desperados were thrown into the
fan's jail at one of Jacob's games
Proud dad of old #99
Stingers in with New York City
across the Hudson River
He enjoys being a Civil War reenactor
Game Day at West Point
Where did Mary get that
mean picture face?
Oh, yes, from her father
Michael is now more into biking
than running to save his knees
Michael and his bride Vanessa
The brothers
A proud Redondo Beach Wharf Rat
player and bat boy
The family after one of the kid's
piano recitals in Newbury Park
Marching in Civil War gear on a hot day
A Civil War soldier and a water boy
He is dining at this San Diego
Little Italy hot spot as I write
Warriors after our win in Mexico
against the University of Chihuahua
There have been a ton of good memories built up over the last 48 years. Can't wait to see what good ones the next year will bring to all of us.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHAEL!
