World Series Game Five

With the 2025 World Series tied up, we anxiously tuned in to tonight's final Dodger Stadium game before the World Series moved back to Toronto for Game Six and, if needed, Game Seven.

The Dodgers were subdued quietly for the second consecutive night.

This ROOKIE pitcher for Toronto

was AMAZING

During his 2025 rookie season, Trey Yesavage made stops at every level of professional baseball after pitching for East Carolina University.

He started the season with the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays in Florida pitching a scant 33 1/3 innings.

He was quickly promoted to the High-A Vancouver Canadiens in British Columbia where he pitched a modest 17 1/3 innings.

Next, he was bumped up to Toronto's Double-A farm team, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. He only needed 30 innings of work before his next move up the ladder.

The Triple-A Buffalo Bisons enjoyed Yesavage on their pitching staff for 17 1/3 innings.

After a total of just 98 innings of pitching experience in the minor leagues, on September 15th, he was promoted to the Toronto Blue Jays.

He was the starting pitcher in two of the Blue Jays three wins in the World Series, pitching 11 innings, allowing only 3 runs and striking out 17 Dodgers.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

The 2025 MLB season will be the first ever to both start and end outside of the USA.

On March 18th, the Dodgers opened the MLB season in Tokyo, Japan against the Chicago Cubs.

The Friday or Saturday, the MLB season ends in Toronto, Canada, Dodgers vs. BlueJays.

Thursday night's 115th edition

of the Battle on Route 126 will

be the PERFECT call

The communities of Santa Paula and Fillmore are connected by a nine mile stretch of the Route 126 Highway.

This rivalry was first played in 1924 and they did indeed play twice in some years.

We've got our tickets and we are ready to see a great rivalry in a new venue, Ventura H.S.

For the first time ever, the game will not be played in either of its usual jam packed Battle on Route 126 sites. Cozy home fields at both Santa Paula (2,300 seat Jones Field) or Fillmore (2,000 seat Carrillo Field) caused many issues as SRO crowds caused many fans to be turned away.

This year's game will be played a further 12 miles west on Route 126 ay Ventura H.S.'s Larrabee Stadium, seating capacity 5,800.

Probably a great financial move for both schools I would think and it keeps more fans happy too.
