On this bright Summer day Jacob's third Pop Warner season was set to kickoff in gorgeous Santa Barbara.
It was a BEAUTIFUL day
for American football!
The Gold Coast Youth Football
League is the governing body
Our Stingers are one of 18 clubs
that field teams in the GCYFL
on this opening weekend
The game was being played at
Santa Barbara City College's
scenic La Playa Stadium
We arrived about 90 minutes before the kickoff so that Jacob could get ready and go through with his team's pre-game routine.
Other than Jacob and Michael,
the rest of us walked across the
street to have a pre-game brunch

Properly fueled, we headed back across the street to La Playa Stadium for the game.

Next up for the Stingers will be a game on Saturday, August 31st against the Simi Valley Bulldogs' Orange team. The game will kickoff at 4:00 p.m. at Simi Valley H.S.
