First and foremost to all of you on this blessed family day . . .
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Santa is an absolute warrior every Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day for us is a time to gather with family to enjoy each other, exchange gifts and eat bountifully thanks to Laurie's efforts.
Our tree was decorated
in fine fashion as usual
Laurie's appetizers were
really enough on their own
Let the gift giving begin
Mary was ecstatic with this gift
After the kids traded gifts with their cousins, aunts and uncles, it was time for dinner.
We had decided a few weeks ago to give Laurie a break from her normal Christmas Day cooking chores and opted to order a ton of delicious food from Wood Ranch BBQ.
It worked out perfectly on all counts except that we still had enough food left over to feed a garrison of federal troops.
Everyone took home some food to be sure.
Leftovers a day or two later usually are even better anyway.
The post-dinner Food Coma
was in full swing
In the kitchen are cousin Max and Michael.
Passed out on the sofa are my sister Marilyn, cousin Leo, Jacob, Mary and myself.
I must note that I am wearing my first ever foray into the dark underbelly that the Ugly Christmas Sweater this year.
Mary in the doorway bidding us
a fond bon voyage as the boys took
a post meal walk around the block
Don't ask!
Exercise does crazy things to people.
Vanessa took this picture of
the assembled multitudes
Family time during the Holidays is priceless
With my sister Marilyn
We definitely missed not having our sister Linda with us tonight.
Jacob and Mary both took
home a ton of loot tonight
As always, Laurie was
AWESOME today
Peace on Earth,
Goodwill to Men
It was a GREAT day shared with wonderful people.
I enjoyed getting more Christmas wishes from sports teams around the globe today.
Being 8-7 was a great gift
to all Rams fans this year
Keep driving for an improbable playoff spot Rams!
Signing every great Japanese
player know to man was a gift too
That it is apparently snowing at Dodger Stadium is a bit of a concern though.
Good to hear from our friends
in Sicily, our first EuroBall
team back in 2008
A greetings from the Women's league
was greatly appreciated
It looks like the Capitals are definitely
in the proper Holiday Spirit
And a final Christmas greeting
from the Osos Rivas in Madrid
I really enjoyed coaching the Osos in 2016.
Again,
Merry Christmas,
God Bless Us, Everyone!
