Tue.-Sun., Dec. 19-24, 2023
Twas the week before Christmas . . .
Santa can be such a Bad Ass
when he wants to be
The week's highlight was Sunday night's Happy Chanukah/Merry Christmas/Happy Kwanzaa party hosted by Joanne and Paul Sabolić, two of our favorite people.
It was an eclectic gathering with people from different faiths and walks of life gathering to truly enjoy a Happy Holidays celebration.
Joanne, who is Jewish, agreed that most Hebrew celebratory holiday gatherings can be linked to this basic Hebrew history concept, "they tried to kill us, we won, let's eat!'
I'm not sure about the first two parts of that quote but can attest that the food at the party was varied, plentiful and DELICIOUS!
Jesus would have been proud at Joanne's version of the loaves and fishes miracle. An amazing spread!
It was so much fun getting to spend more quality time with Sue and Michael D'Antuono at the Sabolić's home as well.
I also must mention Paul's take on his beloved wife's people, "We are like cockroaches and will survive a nuclear blast as well."
תודה רבה, Thank You Joanne and Paul for a memorable Christmas Eve.
In NFL news . . .
The Los Angeles Rams continued
their surprising run to the playoffs
on Thursday night
The Rams and the New Orleans Saints
were both 7-7 going into this crucial
contest for both teams
All that glitters in the NFL is
no longer gold in the NCAA
HTTR
I'm sorry, I meant Hail To The Commanders.
Two hapless franchises NOT getting
it done using different but equally
inefficient methods
The Rams did it AGAIN!
The Rams are now 8-7 and in the thick of the playoff hunt, AMAZING!
Rookie WR Puka Nacua
has been such a force this season
Of course, the Washington Huskies continued to be major news this week.
The Sugar Bowl game continues
to creep forward much too slowly
That would be a glorious Christmas
present for all Husky fans
The Huskies OL was named the
best in the nation
They are going to be put to the supreme test in the next two games to be sure.
If I were going to New Orleans for the
Sugar Bowl, I'd wear this happilly
The EuroBall season will start in earnest soon . . .

Odds and ends from the net . . .
Clarence, is that you?
Bobbi's and our son Andrew are both
turning 50 in 2024. How is that possible?
Andrew, Jenn and Kevin simply
LOVE bulldogs
The Los Angeles Dodgers continue
to sign all of Japan's epic athletes
So simple, so true
Again, so simple, so true
An old Transylvanian proverb
It might be Russian though, not sure really but still, words to live by for many of my friends.
Of course, it's the Tacos that
make him a Bad Ass!
May Monday be your best Christmas
EVER enjoyed with Family and Friends!
